Why does my indoor cat need annual check-ups and vaccinations?

What are annual fecal's for?

Fecal Test
A sample of the dog's stool is examined to detect microscopic eggs of intestinal parasites. The Center for Disease Control recommends annual fecal tests because hookworms and roundworms can infect human beings. Other intestinal parasites include tapeworms, whipworms, coccidia, and giardia.  Whipworm and roundworm eggs are extremely resilient, surviving in the soil in the coldest conditions.  Any intestinal worm infection, if severe, can lead to the death of your pet.
